The grain trading division of Convex International GmbH group of companies has shipped its first barges of corn through the Danube ports.

The initial barges with Ukrainian corn were loaded and sent to end consumers through the port of Izmail, with subsequent shipment via Constanta.

After the neighboring countries imposed a ban on corn imports, unforeseen circumstances arose with wagons at the border and the possibility of further export. The Danube ports became the only viable route for export. Convex International GmbH promptly entered into contracts with major international traders for grain supply and successfully completed the first shipment.

The grain was purchased from one of our company’s clients in the elevator business sector.

Currently, the company is in the process of obtaining GMP+ and QS certificates. These certificates are necessary for selling grain crops to direct feed producers and official seed distributors for bakeries in the European Union.
